Advanced ERCP is covered in the Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopy program. Dr. Tarun Kumar, an ERCP and EUS specialist with 15+ years of experience, leads this module.

How much hands-on scope time will I get?

In a batch of 6 trainees, each participant gets individual scope time daily on real patients. Trainees in the colonoscopy program typically complete 10–15 independent scopes over the course.

Eligibility

Open to MD (General Medicine), DM/DNB (Gastroenterology) qualified doctors and final-year residents. Basic programmes require no prior endoscopy experience; advanced therapeutic tracks require documented basic endoscopy caseload.

Scope handling & simulator practice

Endoscope orientation, navigation drills on simulators.

Day 2

Observed live procedures

Shadowing faculty during diagnostic upper and lower GI cases.

Day 3-4

Supervised hands-on cases

Performing supervised steps in live endoscopy cases.
